Here is a list of events for Utah

West Valley City 10 a.m., Redwood Memorial Cemetery, 6500 S. Redwood Road. Flag raising ceremony and a performance by the West Jordan Symphony.

Salt Lake City 10:15 a.m., Mountain View Memorial Cemetery, 3115 E. 7800 South. The Salt Lake County Sheriff's Honor Guard, the Salt Lake Scots Pipe Band and the Murray Concert Band will conduct a tribute.

Sandy 11 a.m., Lake Hills Memorial Cemetery, 10055 S. State St. The Utah Air National Guard, Sandy City Fire Department and Utah Pipe Band present a memorial day program.

Riverton Memorial Day Ceremony, 10 a.m., Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 17111 S. Camp Williams Road. Sen. Michael Waddoups will be a guest speaker. The 23rd Army Band will perform, and a wreath-laying ceremony will conclude the service.

Hill Air Force Base 11 a.m., Hill Aerospace Museum, 7961 Wardleigh Road, Roy. The ceremony will include speeches from veterans of past and current wars.

Salt Lake City Memorial Day Picnic, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Pioneer Park, 300 S. 300 West. The Salt Lake City Mission event will include free hot dogs and other foods.

Sandy The Larkin Memorial Day Service, 10 a.m., Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. 10600 South. Attorney General Mark Shurtleff will be the keynote speaker. Event will also feature the Utah Army National Guard, Tom Pike and The Minuteman Brass Quintet, Brig. Gen. Scott Harrison and Sgt. Buck Taylor. For information, call 801-363-5781.

Riverton "Remember and Reflect" noon, Riverton City Cemetery, 1500 W. 13200 South. Organized by the Riverton American Legion Post 140. For information, visit www.rivertoncity.com.

Holladay 9:30 a.m., Holladay Memorial Cemetery, 4900 S. Memory Lane. Flag raising ceremony and a performance by the Salt Lake Scots Pipe Band. Participants include the American Legion Post No. 71, Utah Air National Guard and Sons of the Utah Pioneers.

West Jordan Traditional Memorial Day Tribute, 2:30 p.m., West Jordan Military Services Monument in Veterans Memorial Park, 1985 W. 7800 South. Sen. Orrin Hatch will be a guest speaker. The Utah Pipe band and a National Guard bugler will perform.
