Free fashion paint and instruction with the purchase of a t-shirt ($2.50 in US, $3.50 in Canada). Learn and experience what a birthday party at a Michaels is all about while your kids enjoy a craft project. While supplies last.


Mardi Gras Charity Carnival
McCormick Jr High, Saturday, March 20, 10:00am-5:00pm, school cafeteria.
Games, food and family fun.
Proceeds will be split between COMEA House Homeless Shelter
and the Red Cross Haiti Relief efforts.
Entry fee: $2 and children 9 years old and under are admitted free of charge.
Booth tickets: 50¢ each.
Participants are invited to wear crazy costumes and half masks.

High School A State Hockey Championships
March 5-7, Taco Johns Events Center. Games start at 6:00pm Friday, 9:00am and 4:00pm Saturday, High School Skills competition start at 11:15am Saturday, with the consolation and championship games at 8:30am Sunday. Free admission.

What: The Shoot Out Cheyenne
When: October 23-25
Where: Train Depot/Lincoln Theater
Cost: Depends on participation

I had not heard of this before. This is Cheyenne's own film
festival competition where teams can enter to film their own
7 minute movie in 24 hours using only a video camera
(no editing software). You have to incorporate different assigned
things into your movie. There is a showing of the top 10 and awards
ceremony on Sunday. Tickets (to the showing) are $7 at the
Lincoln Theater at noon.

Festivities include a tractor parade and pull, living history exhibits, a presentation on Butch Cassidy by his great-great-nephew, medicine show, exhibits, barbecue and dinner theater.
